NZWe loved the clean and homely cottage, we were in Whangarei for a wedding with two of our children and their partners so six adults in total. Great to stay together in the one place, their was milk in the fridge and tea on the shelf so we could make a cup of tea after our long drive before we went to get supplies so my wife was very grateful for that simple but essential luxury. They knew we were coming earlier than their usual checkup time as the ladies needed to dress and prepare for the wedding, our hosts were very obliging and had the place ready on time, and it all went without a hitch. No complaints from anyone, and we left them some chocolate biscuits in the fridge to say thanks. Would happily stay there again.
A couple of floorboards in the lounge and on the landing creaked and bowed a bit when you stepped on them, but itโs lovely old timber so that is to be expected. It smelt a little of cats to me, but once we opened some windows it was all good.
NZEasy to get to. We didn't actually stay at the property because i didnt realise it was a shared house situation BUT was a nice surprise to be contacted by the host who called to check everything was alright when we never checked in
