Remember Vangvieng Hotel

We stayed in a spacious room with a perfect view of the mountains, which we really enjoyed. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. The reception was always staffed and the team was extremely helpful and committed. We would especially like to mention Khay, who made a great effort to organize a last-minute shuttle for us to Luang Prabang. He even helped us after his shift and stayed in close contact with us – truly outstanding service. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

At night it could be quite noisy, not from the hotel itself but from the surrounding streets and nearby bars. There was sometimes an unpleasant smell in the bathroom area, but simply closing the door solved the issue, so it didn’t bother us too much.

This is a $12 hotel disguised as a $35 hotel. Very very cheap fittings, windows, stairs, plumbing, design etc etc. as though the brief was to make the cheapest flimsy hotel possible and charge as though it was half decent. Windows didn’t shut properly. Door lock flimsy. Water run off from the aircon goes to the toilet floor so wet all the time ….. to name a few issues. Avoid. Staff are nice though.

Hotel located next to Chinese Pub very loudest can’t sleep. Music open 17.00 until midnight still on very bad. Restroom step so high
