Annasi Villa

We liked absolutely everything. When we arrived the whole family greeted us at the villa. Guests have whole 2nd floor to themselves with private entrance (stairs on the backyard).Place consists of fully-equipped kitchen, living room with couch and dining table, bedroom with AC, bathroom and terrace. Everything was in excellent condition, it definitely felt like home away from home. Villa is located in quiet area, you can hear waves and the train but it's very subtle and didn't bother us. Beach was like 7 min walking, fruit stalls even less than that. The nearest beach is a bit farther from main Hikkaduwa area but still there's enough restaurants, sun beds etc. Occasionally, Prabath would treat us with something yummy - pancakes, fruits, invited us for a Sri Lankan dinner prepared by his wife. Also he arranged a day out (tea plantation, Madu river, turtles) for a good price. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to out friends, lovely family, we were sad when we left the place.

If I'm being critical, I'd say that wifi was somewhat slow (download 13-15mbps, upload up to 5) so be mindful if you need it for remote work. For vacation - it's definitely enough.

I was kindly picked from the railway station and brought there by the end of my stay. Welcomed by a great family of host and treated with a delicious traditional dish. The property itself is absolutely amazing, very spacious and clean, with own kitchen, balcony, access to the rooftop, dining room, two bedrooms and hot water for shower! Quite close to the beach, about 5-7 min walk, the main road with lots of buses passing by, and generally the area is beautiful and interesting to explore. Everything needed for life in villa is available, also host is very friendly and helpful, speaks well English and is open for communication. I asked much about Sri Lanka and hope didn’t make him tired) He took me round the neighborhood and showed wonderful temples in his free time. Highly recommend this villa not only to families but also to solo travelers to feel comfort and enjoy the journey. Wish I could stay there longer)
