Terrible, would not recommend to anyone. AC only in one bedroom and did not work properly, not as advertised on booking.com. Fan was also broken, had to ask for this to be fixed/replaced twice and waited hours for this to be done. No hot water, kettle does not work. Had 4 power cuts in 3 days (not local outages but trip switch went in the apartment only). Generally clean but lots of cobwebs, mosquitos literally everywhere which had not experienced anywhere in lots of other accommodation across Sri Lanka. Overpriced for what you get.

No air conditioning in rooms. No hot water pressure. Jacuzzi unserviceable.

Negombo was the last leg of our trip. We were looking for something comfortable and close to the airport and besides shopping for spices there was nothing left on the travel agenda. For all this, Casa Matilda is perfectly suited. A very comfortable and generous villa in a quiet neighbourhood. It's equipped with everything you need and large enough to just hang out on the grounds for a couple of days without feeling boxed in. The family living next door has been very helpful in arranging transport, opening the occasional coconut etc... All in all a very pleasant stay and a great house at this price.

This part of Negombo is rather suburbian and quiet - which is exactly what we were looking for. You won't find any touristic attractions in a walking distance, so be prepared to hire the Tuk Tuk a lot if you want to go sightseeing.

Good location. Lovely Bungalow. If you go with 2-3 people, it's great. Rooms were very comfotable & clean.

Only problem was one bathroom for 5 people.

The landlord is very nice and the family is very enthusiastic. They have an independent villa and even had dinner with us. We are traveling as a family and very satisfied

Good space and layout in the house. Lot of amenities. The host was very pleasant and always happy to accommodate. Aircon is a lifesaver. Quick to make any issues put right. Freedom to come and go as we please.

The house could do with a TV. The path leading to the house needs some work as it gets extremely muddy when wet however it is rainy season. The shower is completely unusable, there is no water pressure especially when using hot water. Had to use the bucket and jug.
