Majido Hotel

My stay at this hotel was an amazing experience. The service was excellent, the staff including Mohammed were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is close to the market and the main tourist attractions which made it easy to get around. The dining experience was a great addition and the prices are suitable for everyone.

The hotel is very wonderful and it is close to the Petra Visitors Center, three minutes away by car. The room was well-established and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and there was hot water and air conditioning. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend it and thank them for their hospitality.

Excluding the mishaps described below this was a great place. The owner did everything he could to make my stay comfortable and to fix the arising problems. The place is clean, there is a good water heater; the hotel is within walking distance to Petra and the bus station.

On the first and second night there were power outages (the first one was caused by bad wiring; the second one was the electric company's fault). The WiFi was incredibly slow at first, but after a couple of days the owner installed a new 4G router and the speed became somewhat good. The building is not ready for the cold: in November I had to wear warm socks and a thermal layer at all times despite the AC being on Heating. On the second day I even went to another hotel for the night, but it had basically the same problems. I returned after the WiFi got fixed; the rest of my stay was pretty satisfactory. P.S. I tried to negotiate a refund on the second day, but the owner wanted to keep the Booking commission and the tourist tax for the whole stay. Fortunately, the issues got resolved and there was no further need for a refund.

We stayed one night after the visit of Petra. The structure is very good located just 3 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot from Petra site. The room was very comfortable and clean. Also the hospitality of Mohamed was great.

Photos don't do this guesthouse it's dues, our room with it's own bathroom was really nice, quaint but with everything you'd get in a larger hotel. Mohammad(the young solo star employee) stayed up and waited on our very late arrival. He also helped me figure out how to buy the jett bus ticket online back to amman, helped store our bags and gave some tips. In reception we noticed tours to wadi rum available for 40jd, if you're coming you may want to email the hotel about that tour etc Continental breakfast was arranged anytime we wanted it The room is very clean, lots of hot water, safe and central area. A taxi to petras gates is 2 dinar or walk downhill 20 minutes. Lovely cafe, restaurant, small supermarkets areas nearby we really liked the Yemen restaurant (Turn right outside the hotel, take the first turn left down the steep hill, then the second right turn, walk 30 seconds and it's on the left hand side, it's 200 meters from the hotel. Beside it and across the road are more cafes and restaurants. We also like the area across from the grand mosque with a fountain, cafes, supermarket it's steps from the hotel and felt very safe there. I've travelled as a solo tourist before I met my husband, if you're a solo female I think this hotel and staff are very safe.

Our room was really great but sleeping in the days an issue with the noise, it's far back from the road but I think that's just a wadi musa thing.
