Landour Vintage Homestay

The location of the Homestay is at a walking distance from the major tourist points of Landour - Char Dukan, Lal Tibba, Landour Bakehouse and the like, and even the Mall Road in the opposite direction - a short uphill walk for a distance and you are there. The rooms are cozy, with a great view from the small balcony. Though there is an earmarked parking slot but its on the main road, and you might have to carry your luggage for a bit. Homely food, if ordered well in time, was a delight to have.

The size of the bathroom was too small for comfort, but availability of hot water was a bonus.

Abhinav was a wonderful host: attentive, available, friendly, and detail-oriented. The apartment/room was ideal for me- I was very content to have a comfortable full-size bed, private bathroom (with geyser for hot shower), and a balcony area. I believe the room may have been a bit small to share with another person but I was very comfortable as an individual. The location was central to everywhere I was looking to go in Landour/Mussoorie. I would absolutely stay again.

Spotless rooms. Every day the helper asked if we wanted the room to be cleaned. Hygienic bathrooms with geyser. Electric kettle in the kitchenette. Induction plate available on request. Warm and hospitable owner/host. Superb view of the mountains (we caught beautiful sunrise and moon) from the terrace. Private entrance (no need to go through any reception). Secure parking for two-wheelers right outside the room (car parking also available). The best part: the location! The place is at beginning of the famous Landour trail, walking distance from the famous Char Dukaan and Landour Bakehouse. If you find Mussoorie crowded and want to enjoy peace and tranquility of Landour, the location of this homestay is ideal. Oh, cheap and hygienic eating options available nearby.

Proximity to eateries, coffee shops (Landour coffee & Lotte’s home baked goods), dining options like Doma’s/Tibetan; Hapur Walo Ki Duran/Pahadi cuisine) and the market area. Be prepared to enjoy (steep uphill) walks to Landour. The property owner lived on-site and was always available and most accommodating. Abhinav Goyal assisted with transportation needs and offered recommendations to explore local culture.

Temperatures in December 2024 was 4-5 degrees C (40F) at night. Be prepared to bundle up. There is no room heating. Not much ceiling height; don’t knock your head.

Perfect Cozy Getaway - Loved Our Stay at Landour Vintage Homestay. We had an amazing time staying at Landour Vintage Homestay! The place is super cozy and full of old-world charm. It felt like stepping back in time, with the wooden furniture and antique decorations, but still had all the modern comforts we needed. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had beautiful views of the hills. The bed was really comfy, so we slept like babies every night. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They were always available to help and gave us great tips on where to eat and what to do around Landour. We really appreciated how much they cared about making our stay the best it could be. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything we wanted to see. We loved taking walks around the area and just soaking in the beauty of the mountains. Overall, Landour Vintage Homestay is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. We can’t wait to come back.
