Het Waterhof

Our hosts, Fred and Marion, were wonderful! They helped us with questions, visited and made us feel so welcome, and made our stay even better. The apartment was spacious and very well laid out - plenty of room and great amenities.

The property was easy to find from the station which is a 10 - 15 minute walk away. The apartment was spotlessly clean and Fred, the host, explained how everything worked and told us about the fascinating history of the building. We had great communication with Fred if we had any questions. The property was situated within easy reach of everything you might need or want to visit during your stay in Leiden. Amazing breakfast with fresh coffee available 24/7.

Beautiful building with a lot of history. Within walking distance from the train station and everything in town. Breakfast was wonderful.

It could be a bit noisy on the street outside during the night.

Fred greeted us for our early (surprise) arrival and immediately made us feel welcome. We could tell he was proud of his historic home. The space was bright and homey and the bathroom shower was wonderful. The huge breakfast basket which Fred schlepped over to our suite each morning was a beautiful way to start our two days in charming and vibrant Leiden. There are many restaurants nearby; we enjoyed Van Goyen Jeneverhuis and Restaurant In den Bierbengel, both of which are two blocks away on the same street as Het Waterhof.
