Our stay was incredibly comfortable—an ideal choice for an authentic bush experience. We were captivated by the beauty of the house, its cleanliness, and the excellent facilities. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making sure our time at Africa House was nothing short of exceptional. We truly appreciated the attention to detail, from the high-quality bed linen and plentiful cutlery to the convenience of the ice maker, as well as the thoughtful provision of wood for the braai and bonfire. These little touches made our stay even more enjoyable. We loved listening to the sounds of nature and spotting the amazing wildlife that wandered by to say hello. Waking up to the symphony of the wild, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and immersing ourselves in nature was truly magical. Desiree, you were a fantastic host! We had a wonderful time, and two nights simply weren’t enough—we wished we had more time to soak in the serenity

We loved the open outdoor living area. It is so beautiful with the best finishes! All rooms have aircons as well as the living area which is needed in Hoedspruit. The cutlery and crockery did not go unnoticed, only the best to be found here! Thank you for the best stay. This was our second time at this property

We spent an incredible three days over Christmas at Africa House in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, and I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a luxurious yet welcoming retreat, perfect for a family holiday. The house is absolutely stunning – a spacious 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home filled with beautifully handcrafted furniture. Every detail, from the high-quality linen and towels to the extensive collection of crockery, cutlery, and glassware, reflects exceptional care and taste. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with essentials one would need during a short stay and some of the best freshly ground coffee we’ve ever had at a rental property. The swimming pool and ice machine were wonderful additions, making our stay even more comfortable. One of the standout features is that the owner is a talented wildlife photographer, and the house is filled with breathtaking canvases of animals he’s captured during his adventures. Each piece adds to the atmosphere, creating a space that feels connected to the surrounding wilderness. What truly made our stay memorable were the personal touches. We each received a personalized Christmas biscuit, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us, and a beautiful poinsettia plant added the perfect festive touch. These thoughtful details made us feel so welcome and added to the magic of spending Christmas there. The wildlife around the house was incredible – warthogs and antelopes roamed freely around the property, and the birdlife was abundant. Waking up to the sights and sounds of nature made the experience unforgettable. The hosts were exceptional – warm, attentive, and committed to ensuring our stay was perfect. If you’re looking for a luxurious, tranquil escape surrounded by nature, Africa House is the perfect choice. We’re already planning our return visit!

We Liked the way the house is designed, how clean it is, the coffee machine , the towels The bonfire at night< the braai facilities and all the kitchen utensils and the beautiful crockery!

The property is well situated and very well equipped wirh everything that you can think off. Abundance of braai tongs, cutlery, placemats and the most beautiful plates. We were even presented with drinking water and ice on arrival. Excellence is the only word that comes to mind.

Excellent 👌 Desiree is such an amazing person, Africa House is the girl she thinks she is Beautiful home, had everything we could ever need... Loved everything.. wish we could have stayed a little long. She extended our check out time, icing on the cake. Definitely going back in the future.... 👌
