Kampheak Roath Bungalows

Beautiful position right on the stream - if you get the cheaper bungalow you can watch the sun set while buffaloes roam in the distance, very pretty and romantic. The swimming pool was excellent. It's quite far out of Kampot Town - 30 minute tuktuk if the roads are bad, 20 minutes if they're dry - so you need to ask the owners to organise you a pickup to get into town. But we did not have any issues getting around and the wooden bungalows are good value.

Just a few odd things that need attention: eg, the plugs in the room are really high on the wall and there's nowhere to put a phone etc while it charges; some cushions on the deckchairs and outside furniture would make it a bit more comfortable; no curtains on the windows for privacy. We were also offered a set breakfast that arrived with half the items missing and were told that these actually cost extra, but this is not indicated on the menu - so this was a bit awkward. The restaurant prices are quite high for what is on offer.

The location is nice also nice swimming pool food also good

I booked and paid for a bungalow: with 2 rooms, a private toilet with hot water, AC, TV... But they gave me a small(about 16m3)wooden cottage with one room, toilet outside no hot water no AC no TV, I live in Cambodia 11years and I soo. lot of here but this is really unserioous, I was sleept there because I come there with my small son and I don't want to looking for another hotel, also very complicated to find a place the address in booking is not correct I must pay 2 tuk tuk drivers to find it also hotel phone number not working, I'm sorry to the owners for this comment.. I'm not happy to do it I provided hotels in Cambodia too and I know that is hard in these times! But isn't apologize a lies!

The place is beautiful, the room was excellent and the food was great. Nice to see water buffalo walk past whilst having dinner. The staff where so helpful and accommodating.

Being asked to add a review on booking.com so many times. The place is great and cheap - I recommend it.

We extended our stay because it was so nice and we could then see more of the mountains and coast. Initially, we booked for 2 nights and the stayed another two nights. All of the bungalows are lovely and comparable to luxury holiday chalets in the UK. The photographs on the website are accurate. Even though the rain season has arrived (end of June), this area has the best of it with the rain early morning, sunny days and a lovely cool, relaxing breeze by the river all day. At night, if not too cloudy, there are beautiful sun sets by the mountain. For our last stay we chose the room with the lake view which has it's own west facing terrace. The interior fitting is very nice and very comfortable. The hotel staff were great and helped to organize our travelling. The food was great too!

There was not anything that I did not like. I did not want to leave!

The location is very scenic with a beautiful view of the river and mountains at sun set. There are a wide selection of bungalows to stay in. The swimming pool is very nice and the gardens are very large and peaceful with a lot of shade and a pleasant wind. The food was very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is in the counrtyside and a world away from city life. I found it to be a fantastic place to relax. It is a good location to explore the mountains and a is short ride to the sea or to Kampot. We originally planned to stay 2 nights but have extended our stay.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

The hotel has been recently built so everything js new and super clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly with a good level of english. The location is nice but a bit far from town however the ladys working can arrange for motobike hire and or call for a tuktuk.

We originally booked the bungalow with a fan only, however as we stayed 4 nights it was a bit too hot so changed to a room with ac. The fan is okay for 1/2 nights but in april it can be very hot so bear this is mind

Location was perfect for me. A bit removed from town and quiet countryside. Peaceful comfortable place for me to write. Facilities are quite modern with rustic charm. I never eat breakfast so no opinion. But the staff was ready and able to cook me some up. I live in Seim Reap and came here for P&Q; found it.

My Fault! I should have brought a fishing pole. I could have asked the staff because I'm sure they would have gotten me one. I didn't think of that then. Looks like good fishing from my balcony.

A real gem on fish island. It is a huge property that is very clean, with many facilities. It is right on the river so the sunset is magnificent. The pool is also a great plus as it get extremely hot during the day. It's a perfect spot to have some peace and quiet. It is a bit far from town (not really walkable) but they are going to offer bicycle to get around. And there are always cheap took took to get you to town if necessary.
