INThe room was neat and bathroom clean enough. The caretaker Pereira was extremely helpful. There is no breakfast or food service, plates and cutlery are available. The family room was spacious, a double bed in 1 room and a single bed in the other smaller portion. Quiet and good for sleep.
It is not a hotel or homestay- it's a wedding banquet hall where they let out the rooms for rent. It is NOT near Kandy city - even though it is just 8 km away! tuk-tuk and taxis make a fuss to drive you out there. The rooms are all up the stairs and there is no lift, for heavy luggage. They did not have blankets, only cotton sheets. The a/c was quite powerful and it did get a bit chilly at night.
