Hotel Ararat

The first room they gave us was the wrong bed and NOT Mountain View as we had paid for. The second room did not have a mini frig as advertised. It took too long to change rooms the first time so we let it go. The staff were all pleasant. The location is right in town. The free parking is in a garage about a block away. Breakfast was good. Just stayed here one night.

A good solution on the way to Erzurum

Dogubayazit has few options for hotels for international tourists, however Hotel Ararat is definitely the place to be. Most outstanding is the friendliness of the staff, especially the front desk staff, and the excellent English language skills of all staff we encountered. The location of Hotel Ararat is perfect, in the middle of the centre with outstanding views to the Agri Dagi. Futher, the shops and restaurants are right at the door of the hotel. The hotel staff even went the extra mile to get us a safe parking for our car for the night, which we highly appreciated.

The rooms are clean and had all the amenities needed, however are a bit dated.

Location is great. Great value and awesome crew. Clean rooms.

All good. Breakfast lines can be improved. Windows can have netting.

In the beginning the check-in didn’t look very well. We checked-in in the late afternoon and the room wasn’t ready. But the staff was so welcoming, that we didn’t bother any problems and finally enjoyed the stay.
