Windy Garden

We liked the breakfast, which was really good. The staff sent tuktuk to pick us from Mirissa at a reasonable price. The staff was nice and helpful. The environment was beautiful.

Location is a bit out of the town center, but a short trip with tuktuk.

They don’t give rooms what I request

The location was good, near beaches and Galle Dutch fort was 7min drive away. Room had good aircon and was tidy. The staff were helpful, carry bags to rooms and having breakfast set up promptly

Bathroom was spacious which was great but our balcony could only be accessed by bathroom. The water pressure wasn’t great and when bought it up to manager he said “you check today it’s good now”. It was the exact same, we also asked for non spicy food for breakfast and it was spicy two days in a row.

Room is very small. Very hot, no ventilation. Bathroom floor is slippery. Breakfast was nice and good.

The pool wasn’t clean

Windy Garden is amazing! It's a family run guest house and the hosts are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The staff are attentive and friendly. It's in a quiet street off the main road, but only 10 minutes in a tuk tuk to Galle Fort. The deluxe rooms are spacious, light and spotlessly clean. A table and chairs on the balcony is perfect for watching the birds and monkeys in the garden and catching the sun rise/set. There's a choice of breakfasts to suit all tastes. They are delicious and huge! There are lots of things to do around Galle, apart from the fort, and the kind and friendly tuk tuk driver, Ruwan, will happily take you for a very reasonable price. The Kanneliya rainforest is a beautiful trip that I recommend. I have no hesitation in saying this is the best place to stay on a visit to Galle!!
