Baileys Mountain Retreat

Seeing the bears out and about. Not to far from the strip of downtown Gatlinburg.

The house is dusty, full of spiders, paint chips from the wall started falling from ceiling, the basement is small and scary going down. The outside fire pit didn’t light, the couch outside was dirty and could sit out. The hot tub was full of webs and spiders, also was on the side of the house in the back, not a good look if bears come up …. But… this could have been better in cozy in so many ways. The touch pad lock to open door was a hit and miss … need better accommodations when arriving to get into property. Waiting and trying to figure out how to get in had me feeling like PREY! Smh. I could go on and on but this will sum it up. Hopefully it gets better. I will not be returning back, checked out a day early!

Could use a little more dusting and get rid of spider webs in lights and ceiling fans. Very nice place and was very comfortable and nice. We enjoyed very much.

The location of the cabin is beautiful. It is a great location to see bears!

This was the first time I have ever had anything negative to say about a stay. We rented this cabin Monday - Friday for a family vacation. You can’t adjust the temperature of the cabin during your stay. The thermostat is a smart thermostat so even if you change the temperature it will never adjust, the temperature is controlled by the owner. The hot tub is not working and has been down since June at least according to reviews (I just didn’t see that review until we were there) however we were led to believe upon the day of arrival that it had just happened. The guest before us also must have kept the pool key so that was not available to us either. So three of the main things the air conditioning, the hot tub and the pool were all unavailable to us on our vacation.

The location was absolutely amazing. The cabin was very homie and comfortable.

Only problem with the property was the hot tub wouldn’t get hot. The owner did have somebody come check it out. But other than that we will be back

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful cabin in the Smokies! The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and perfectly tucked away in the mountains—exactly what we were hoping for. The views were breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. One of the highlights of our trip was spotting bears nearby—it was such an incredible experience to see them in their natural habitat (from a safe distance, of course!). This cabin gave us the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a true Smoky Mountain getaway!

We really enjoyed the cabin except the people next to us thought feeding the bears was a good idea !! They literally were in our yard for hours and it cut our time down going to downtown Gatlinburg!! Never had to deal with bears so we patiently waited for them to leave which was around noon. They were there for about 3 hours . Apparently the renters next to us had been there most of the week so the bears showed up faithfully like 9 am and didn’t leave same happened Sunday and thankfully we woke early and packed our vehicles

Spent Honeymoon here for a week. Beautiful scenery and property. The owner is on top of all communication and very helpful. We will be planning a family trip in future here.

If y'all are wanting a couples vacay in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area, I recommend Bailey's Mountain Retreat. It's about 20-30 minutes away from everything but it has a very beautiful view. We got to see so many bears, had a jacuzzi to ourselves, a fire pit and a grill. All beds were king size and each bedroom has a smart TV. Free wifi as well. Fully functional kitchen and laundry area. We also got to see a lot of bears.

Now I will say you have to be careful with water pressure because you are in the mountains, some of the stairs inside are narrow and steep for the loft bedroom, but everything else makes up for it. Lighter fuse for the fire pit and grill wouldn't work so we used a long lighter to get them started. Some of the jacuzzi jets and lights didn't work because the people prior to us left them running and water got into the control panel.
