"Perfect stay on Miyajima"

- you can’t get any closer to Miyajima! Torii & shrine, ferry terminal, mountain trails are all nearby - our host was very friendly and helpful, she provided us all the info we needed - beds are very confortable - you have the whole house, which is much bigger than any other hotel room

"We had a wonderful and comfortable stay"

Great location in the center of town. Friendly host, plenty of hot tea that you can drink in the beautiful traditional sitting room. The hot bath was amazing after a day of rain.

The blankets are a bit short for long person of over 1.80, but more blankets are available and they are really nice, fluffy and warm.

"Spectacular stay on the island"

My stay here was nothing but memorable. The owner was extremely attentive and gave great recommendations for sightseeing as well as restaurants. Miyajima was truly one of my favorite places in Japan over the last 2.5 weeks. Since I traveled during peak tourism season, many restaurants were full when I tried to eat so I would recommend a reservation ahead of time if you can. Otherwise, I loved Nakaya House and would recommend it to anyone in the future.

It can get a little cold at night due to no central AC or heat. The extra blankets as well as a floor heater is there for convenience. No personal keys given at check-in so I felt bad keeping the owner awake to await my return in the evening.

The house is great, spacious, well equipped, the owner is extremely helpful and kind. The corridor and the bathroom were a bit coldish, but a heater was provided to up the temperature. The owner gave very good directions to sights and eat out spots. We definitely recommend staying here! Miyajima itself is a wonder!

"Good location- disappointing accommodation. 😔"

Location was great. Owner was responsive and spoke very good English. The furniture and decor is authentic traditional Japanese.

It was very cold and didn't warm up anywhere except the bedroom despite having heaters on. The.bathroom / shower room was too cold to use. There is no kitchen.
