"The Hidden Gem every traveler dreams of finding!"

WOW! Simply WOW! My family travels a lot and we've stayed at Rental Properties all over the world and Chalet Berna was the best place we have ever stayed. The property is immaculate with numerous small details and touches that can't be captured in photographs. Every drawer and cabinet has built in lighting and the bathroom mirror is equipped with bluetooth and a sound system. There is so much more! The Chalet is one of luxury and comfort. It might seem small on paper, but the way the Chalet is laid out, furnished and designed, the property feels spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 with two kids ages 13 and 8. The property was built and designed by the owner Paulie who was the most generous and gracious host we have ever met. We got in late our first night and he called his brother to open his market after hours and we were able to pick up some food and wine. We enjoyed Paulie so much that we invited him over for dinner and drinks and he shared some family stories and we learned so much about the Dolomites and the culture there. He helped adjust our itinierary with some local tips. We did not want to leave and this was a place I could see myself living in for the rest of my life. It truly felt like home. The expansive deck leaves plenty of room to sit and relax with a nice bottle of wine watching the sunrise or sunset over the Dolomite mountains. The Chalet is walking distance to the Secede Gondola as well as the Gondola to Alpe Di Susi. We truly found a hidden gem with this property. Having visited Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Madeira, Tahiti, Fiji, Bahamas, and England, this Chalet ranks at the very very top. In the beginning, Paulie was our host, by the end, he was our friend. We cannot wait to return and I partly didn't want to share all the amazing things about the property in fear of it getting booked up, but Paulie's craftsmanship and warmth should be recognized and appreciated by all.
