Simple room, very clean. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Central Location. Very good kitchen.

The Dog

The whole accomodation. The rooms are just big enough for the bed. There are no cabinet. Only one of the rooms have air-conditioning. The owners talk maybe two words English, they are Chinese.

The lodge is a comfortable in house (BNB / Backpacker style) shared accomodation. It’s close to town and perfectly suited our ni-Vanuatu family and friends staying in town, rather than doing the round island commute each day.

It was a little difficult to find, as it was behind a large concrete fence and metal gate. This is fairly typical of properties in Vila - travellers need to be aware of this. Otherwise, it was comfortable.

Relatively clean, minimalist design, does the job! Hosts could not be more helpful and accommodating. Really lovely and interesting people.

Dog can be scary if arriving at night and not used to dogs. Would be great if warning about the dog provided prior. Entrance also seems a bit dodgy and a little bit of grass cutting, ambient lighting and colour would do the trick!

The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. The place was clean and felt homely, bed was comfortable and wifi was great. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Port Vila.

This is indeed the No.1 option for me in Port Vila. The lodge owner is a couple of artists. They tidy an old house carefully and upgraded it with a humble & compromised style. There are three rooms with various fashions, a big yard with lawn and a bay view, a big kitchen, and a big hall. Cool temperature & quiet for sleeping. Conveniently transfer to CBD of Vila for 15 walking. The couple can speak English, though not influent, but modest and available. Unfortunately I don’t have time to experience an Éfate island outdoor tour with their pretty green Suzuki Jimny.
