Vaiata lodge

Very nice and attentive hosts. They picked us up and dropped us off after our stay and gave us some nice tips for the travel.

The location is a bit outside of the center, but the host provides transfers to and from the airport.

The room is large, excellent air-conditioning,, comfortable queen bed with adjoining bathropm. The kitchen was available with stove, microwave and fridge. The hosts were welcoming and helpful.

The bathroom was aging, the shower had no door, the sink faucet was loose and the plug got stuck.

A large clean bedroom and bathroom, excellent WiFi, huge TV with Netflix and a very comfortable bed. You have use of a shared kitchen that has a hob, oven and microwave as well as a large fridge/freezer for your own use. There is a small grocery shop a few minutes walk away and a very large Carrefour about a 10/15 minutes walk away. Both Stephane and Maeva are excellent hosts who can't do enough to help you. They were generous, kind and welcoming. Maeva prepared a simple tasty breakfast in the morning of organic fruit and eggs with bacon one day and another day hash browns. The location is about 4km outside Papette. It's very easy to get to from both the airport and downtown Papette by bus (refer to https://teretahiti.pf/ for timetable, prices and bus map). There are no buses on a Sunday. After exiting the airport just walk across the carpark, up a couple of flights of stairs, cross the road and wait at the bus stop for a number 1, 2 or 9 bus going towards Papeete. Ask to be dropped at "eglise du sacre coeur Arue". If you catch the bus from Papette the buses depart from two places depending if you're going east or west around the island so make sure you catch the bus from next to the town hall (Mairie). When you get off the bus turn left (it's a very short walk) past a shop called Millesime and you will see a sign Servitude Vaiata. Turn right down this side road and the house is on the RHS (white gate). If you have a car, after a stone PK marker (LHS), pass Mobil petrol station (LHS) and get into the slip road, pass a shop called Millesime and turn right down Servitude Vaiata.

Stefan and Maeva were amazing hosts. Stefan went above and beyond. He picked us up at 530am from the airport and brought us to our accommodations for an early check-in. He even brought us to pick up our rental car! Our location was great! 15 mins out from Papeete City in a quiet suburb. Stefan was helpful with showing us the sites on Google maps of all the must-see spots. We opted out of the breakfasts, but they were generous with fruits to try! Wonderful place to stay!

The room was big spacious and very clean, with a private toilet and side garden(i did book the king room) The breakfast was really good and delicious, they were very humble to accommodate what my preferences for breakfast were and also the timings that i was preferring to have breakfast. Extremely helpful and kind, willing to help with any request or any question you could have, Also they gave me many recommendations, pointing their favourites places or places that i might like Also they had a small fridge in the kitchen for the guest, in case you buy some food or drinks that you would want to keep chill for the hot weather

Honestly everything was GREAT, i cant say nothing was wrong with my staying, The only 2 things to point out for people to know are: 1. there is a church near by, however personally i was fine with it, but if you are a light sleep get some earplugs and that should do 2. They have 2 lovely dogs, super friendly and beautiful however if you don’t like dogs or you are allergic that might be an issue.

Great little place, great host, very helpful and happy to help and facilitate an easy stay in Papeete. Simple accommodation that gives you everything you really need as you should be outside anyways exploring!

Hosts are great. We’ve only been there for some hours before our flight we they were super attentive and gave us great recommendations to do stuff before leaving Tahiti :)

Stephane and Maeva are very welcoming hosts, the room is clean and spacious. Hot water, garden, delicious breakfast with home-made products. Stephane didn’t hesitate to take us to the airport himself after our appointed taxi driver has forgotten us. Definitely recommended!
