Being charged a conservation fee as a SA citizen and not communicated prior to booking. When you are on holiday you don’t want unbudgeted fees. Conservation fees are normally paid by people that reside outside of the country and it’s an international norm. Please have doors for toilets it’s necessary for hygiene and 4pm check is too late as Dullstroom is too small to do much if you arrive early and a lot can be done at the hotel to generate more income if you’re check-in is much earlier.

An absolutely breathtaking view from this secluded hotel in Dullstroom. The huge lake with many birds and awesome autumn coloured trees complete this paradise. Food in the restaurant was also great and a large crackling fireplace complete the experience.

The location is tucked away nicely away from city hussle and buzz.

The was a baby making noise the whole night which talks to walls that are not noise proof, open toilet is not a great idea

The property was easy to find, clean and has gorgeous views. Siya and Bongani were particularly very helpful and welcoming.

The walls are quite thin and a lot of the sound from adjacent rooms can be heard.
