The Whitianga Sandcastle

The location was great - in a quiet area, a short walk from cafes, restaurants, pubs and a supermarket. The bedrooms and living spaces were very comfortable. We also appreciated the kitchen having some basic ingredients that we could use for cooking!

Very comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Great outside covered seating area. Easy walk to town.

Good laundry room. But no ironing board or laundry basket. Maybe these could be available for future customers.

Location. Facility was clean. Parking was good. Spacious enough for a group of friends.

Had to go to op shop to buy a bowl as not enough in kitchen for meals/ and food prep. Also no password for wifi so had to message & ask. Just little things but helpful if you left a note.

The house had lots of rooms and beds, which was why we chose it. It was a very nice 10-min walk into town. There was a large driveway to park our car, and the kitchen had necessary amenities.

There were some issues that need attending to, particularly the shared bathroom shower. It needs to be secured - it was nearly impossible to take a shower and not get water everywhere. Only one (not so great) towel for each person was provided - a few extras would be nice as well. No shampoo, soap, or conditioner was provided.

1. House was spacious, clean and comfortable - although there was spider webs, house is generally clean and new, i guess part of nature 2. Although no dryer, the sun was available and wind was strong, just hang your clothes at clothes drying rack for 2 to 3 hr and will be ok, lots of hangers and clothes peg available 3. Coffee and coffee machine was provided 4. Backyard had lemon tree and apple tree 5. Good location to go to hot water beach and main city with beach, playground and restaurant 6. Cooking oil, salt, pepper was available Woolsworth and new world super market nearby (5min drive) 7. Neighbourhood feels safe and quiet 8. Clean, comfortable carpeted floors 9. Lots of doors and windows making the house bright and airy

1. No detergent was provided for washing clothes 2. Owner did not provide us with check in lock code and instructions and we panicked and had to pay international call to reach her to get code 3. The inside door knob was broken

Honestly, the place has everything you need. A home away from home.

I only had a short stay whish it were longer.
