Colonial Cottage Getaway

Property directions/instructions were delivered right on time and were clear and helpful. We knew just where to park, the door code, and where to find the check-in binder.

The house is older, but we knew that going in. The bathroom was recently remodeled and lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The quiet backyard seating was nice and it is close to everything!

Feels old. Clean and tidy.

Owner was responsive, cleaning staff exceptionally honest- I had left a valuable ring behind and it was kept safely for my retrieval. Access to downtown and lake for dog walking. Easy access to Paso Robles. The bed was comfortable. Our dog was welcome.

We had to pay lots of quarters for the washing machine and dryer- $over $5 to do a load of laundry! The property seems somewhat run down, more consistent with a low budget property.

The location is great, just off the 101 highway so it was a good location. The property is well-maintained and well-loved by many guests - it is also pet-friendly! We enjoyed the AC, especially during the night, since we traveled during the heatwave week. Toiletries were provided, and we appreciate that!

Some of the furniture, cookware, and drawers are a little old, but they are generally usable and in good condition. We were slightly taken aback by the list of things to complete during checkout, since there was a $125 cleaning fee charged for the stay, but we complied anyway, since we were prepared for the checkout and wanted to avoid any potential fee.

Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Lage, sehr günstig aber auch zur US 101 und US 1- das Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer ist besonders sauber und gemütlich gewesen, insbesondere das Kingbed. Das Wohnzimmer ist mit gemütlichen Möbeln und TV ausgestattet, sowie einem Esstresen zum Mahlzeiten einnehmen. Die Küche hat behandlungsbedarf. Es gehört eine Holzlasur aufgetragen. Dort wirkte vieles auf uns eher klebrig und alt, auch vieles Geschirr. Der Kühlschrank war sauber und ruhig. Der Backofen neuwertig. Die Spüle war okay, für warmes Wasser musste man lange laufen lassen. Der Herd war mit Gas betrieben und sauber. Draußen im Hinter"garten" kann man sitzen. Das Auto steht im Carport. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und friedlich. Wir können das Haus empfehlen..

Wir sind aufgrund der Beschreibung davon ausgegangen, dass Waschmaschine und Trockner im Haus zur freien Verfügung stehen. Das ist nicht der Fall. In einem von außen zugänglichen Raum sind die Geräte zwar vorhanden man braucht aber insgesamt 12 Quarter um waschen und trocknen zu können. Wer also hier waschen und tröcknen möchte sollte , nicht wie wir, nur mit Kreditkarte und Scheinen ausgestattet sein sondern auch mit mindestens 12 Quartern. Das hätte so auch kommuniziert werden müssen-

Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem ok

The house had everything you needed! The owners were very thoughtful with the spare things they left behind for guests to use, nespresso machine, games, extra towels, white noise machine, smart tv. It felt like anything you said “I wish they had ___”, these people had thought of it. Location was great. Clear communication from the hosts.

My only complaint was that the bed wasn’t super comfortable, but that’s extremely subjective based on your preferences. For me, the bed was a bit too stiff and I wished the pillows were flatter. My husband slept well though and I would still sleep here again!
