French Hotel

The hotel room was surprisingly big, not unlike typical hotels within the city area. Free parking is available, at the nearby Warung Theater @ Cathay, only 2 minutes walk from the hotel. However, at night when the restaurant is busy, it may be a little bit difficult to find a spot to park as the restaurant customers also park in the same area. Lots of good eating places nearby, including the Warung Theater (recommended), Mohd Chan, Hainan Chicken Rice, etc. all within walking distance.

French Hotel Ipoh offers a budget-friendly stay with a prime location in downtown Ipoh. Rooms are clean, compact, and comfortable, featuring strong A/C, good storage, fast Wi-Fi, and basic amenities. The bathroom is well-maintained with excellent water pressure. Staff are attentive, especially during a corridor flood incident. While some furnishings and the TV need updates, the hotel’s value and convenience make it ideal for short stays.

Yes the room size was really good. The bathroom was huge. Extra chain was given. There was plenty of space to place our luggage and unpack. It was a good stay.

The only downside was the room did not have any windows. So it was walls in all sides but we have adjusted with that. It was not a major problem since our stay was short of just two nights.
