"A cozy and peaceful place to get a true sense of Friesland, NL"

We were absolutely charmed by this place. Pure Rust is a peaceful hideaway in Friesland. Very private and spacious for two people or a small family. The host, Trienet, has truly created a unique vacation home. The cottage is perfectly curated with a mix of historical and modern art and furniture. Read a book about the history of Friesland, or fictional stories connected to the area. Snuggle up in the cozy living room, with a wood stove and heated floor. Cook with modern appliances and lovely kitchenware. The place is immaculate. And you are in the middle of a gorgeous rural meadow with bordering forests and tree lines. From here you 10 minutes to Dokkum and 15 min to the coast. Or 30 min to Leeuwarden. Truly a central location, within a short .5 to 1.5 km walk or bicycle to the villages of Walterswald and Driezum.

"Fantastisch sfeervolle plek om tot rust te komen, zowel binnen als buiten."

Heerlijke plek om te verblijven. Zowel binnen als buiten ontzettend leuk. Zo gezellig en sfeervol ingericht en je hebt echt alles wat je nodig hebt. De bedden sliepen heerlijk. Echt een plekje om te onthouden.

"Schöner Ort zum Runterfahren"

Trienet (host) war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zur Begrüßung stand ein selbstgebackenes Zuckerbrot und ein gekühlter Wein bereit. Ab dem ersten Moment fühlten wir uns direkt angekommen. Die Ruhe und der Ausblick auf die Felder waren wunderbar. Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts (höchstens vielleicht einer Waschmaschine) Der kleine Ofen sorgt für das perfekte Ambiente.

The house is absolutely lovely, cutely decorated, the kitchen fully equipped and the entire house was very very clean. Location is great for lots of outdoor activities, it's super quiet.
