Lonwolwol Peaceful Lakeside Bungalow

We had an incredible time here as a group of 5 staying for a week. Jessie is super helpful, organising activities including a volcano trek, providing local information and cooking incredible meals with his freshly grown organic fruit and veg. While the accommodation is pretty basic (to be expected on Ambrym) the location by the lake is stunning. There is also a private beach a short walk away with great swimming and a great place to catch the sunrise. The lake itself is perfect for kayaking, and a track around the perimeter is ideal for birdwatching. The location is a good 20 minute boat ride from Craig Cove so if you're just passing through in order to climb the volcano then you might be better off staying in Craig Cove, but if you want to stay longer and get to know the island and the locals then this is the place.

I stayed here for 1 week, and everything was perfect, from start to end. Jessy and Jimmy are really friendly and helpful and make sure everything is good for you. They will help you to book some activities like volcano tour or cultural activities. The food they cook is delicious and you will try local dishes. You can also enjoy a swim or a kayak tour in the lake just next to the bungalows and go to the quiet beach a few minutes away. They just get starlink so you still have good connection in this peaceful place. They also helped me to book the ferry ticket so if you need informations you can send them a message. I loved my stay here and couldn't recommend you this place more highly :)
