The location is quiet and private. Absolutely perfect if you wish for a quiet and private stay. Perfect to recharge. The garden was beautiful. A real Getaway. No food served here. There are the usual coffee and tea in the room.
Not much to dislike except if you are looking for a different type of vibe.

The staff were very nice. We have been contacted ahead of our arrival what made us feeling welcome. All our requests on arrival (e.g. a third towel) were met with a smile. The receiption lady was available on WhatsApp all the time. We took Grab (3 mins) to arrive from the bus terminal, but otherwise it is a 16mins walk. I recommend a Tai restaurant 7 mins away from the Retreat - it is excellent!
Despite smomking was forbiden at the property (thank you!) we could smell someone smoking.
