Nice quiet location, all conditions you need, air conditioner in the main room, large rooms, friendly host

It’s exactly what it says in the description. Nothing hidden surprises. The location was really nice and peaceful. The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

I just didn’t really like the smell of the water.

We were travelling in a group of 5 adults from Serbia to Budapest with the intention of spending one night and going straight to the airport. Accomodation in Budapest was beyond our budget, so we booked Gidran Major with some nerves as it was 30km from the airport and looked to be quite isolated. What a lovely stay! The host sent a google map reference which was very helpful and met us at the cabin. The cabins were simple but comfortable. We loved meeting the horses and had a very restful night in the peaceful countryside.

We received a text message through booking.com regarding calling the host on arrival for automatic gate opening. Our international phone plan doesn't allow calls so we were worried about not being able to have the gate opened for us to enter but the host was present and there were no issues. It meant we had to stop a couple of times on the way to Hungary to access wifi to send messages stating our issue with making telephone calls.

Very helpful and friendly hosts, beautiful environment, beautiful horses. Everything was according to description.

The water smelled disgustingly of ammonia. We didn’t use it for washing, brushing our teeth, let alone cooking.
