KIA HOMESTAY

The host, Nene, and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. They were very helpful helping with the logistics of daily excursions and traveling to and from the homestay and wanted to make sure you were able to do the things you wanted, whatever that might be. The food was fresh, excellent and abundant. The rooms were very simple but had fans and mosquito netting, shared bathroom and common spaces overlooking the ocean and a small balcony over the street. No wifi, but Telkomsel worked very well. There was great snorkeling in front at the house reef , ½km south of the homestay and the best was a 5 minute scooter ride to the north. They also rent scooters. She was even checking on us after we left, making sure we made it safely to our next destination. Thank you for your hospitality Nene!

La ubicación,pero sobretodo el personal. Increíble el trato del personal. Neni,la anfitriona te hace sentir en casa. Está pendiente absolutamente de todo,para que te sientas cómodo. Te ayuda en absolutamente todo. Nosotros llegamos en ferry a las 22:00 de la noche,se encargaron de recogernos en el puerto,de que pudiéramos cenar,nos facilitaron el alquiler de moto,y todo lo que necesites,ella hará lo posible para dártelo. Sin duda alguna,repetiría. Gracias por todo neni.

Die Lage des Homestays ist perfekt, direkt am Strand und mit einem wunderschönen Reef im Meer. Die Atmosphäre, das Essen und insbesondere die grosse Gastfreundschaft von Neni waren ein absolutes Highlight.

Unvergessliche Tage in Kia Homestay. Ich habe mich sehr willkommen gefühlt und Neny, die Besitzerin hat mir vor meiner Anreise schon geholfen und mir wichtige Tipps und Informationen gegeben. Der Aufenthalt war einfach traumhaft und das Essen sehr gut. Neny ist ein Organisationstalent , hat mir sehr geholfen und die Ausflüge an den Stränden waren unbeschreiblich schön. Vor dem Homestay kann man ausgezeichnet schnorcheln. Ich wäre gern länger geblieben.

Even though the owner Neni was on vacation, she actively went out of her way to make sure we have everything we need. Multiple times she organized a lot behind the scenes, when we struggled due to lebaran. She worked with us to find an acceptable, safe and affordable boat for a beach day trip and onward transport to Luwuk, all directly from the shore in front of the homestay. We spent hours snorkelling in front of the homestay and observing the funny banggai cardinalfish and others. The view from the balcony with dining table is fantastic, especially at sunset. There is also a very cute and cuddles-loving cat. Since this is not completely clearly labeled on booking: Mosquito net and fan are provided in the room. No wifi, no hot water shower. Drinking water is provided. I am deducing one point because a handful of times we had to call for food, because the delegated staff did not remember to come and cook on their own (to be fair, it was during lebaran, when they were up all night praying).

Nenni is a perfect host. Amazing place, authentic, lovely family, good food. Everything can be organized by Nenni. Some people would call it simple, I call it full richness.

Neny was the best host ever, she helped me discovering her island and accompanied me as I was solo traveller. Her family and her are really welcoming. She is also the best cooker ever. The price may seem high for Indonesia but a part is going to the reforestation of coral reef. Neny is really implicated into the ocean life and even the island life, she cleans the beach every weekend with the kids. It was really nice to spend some days at Kia homestay, the view from the balcony is stunning and her cat Katy is the cutest ! I would love to come back again !

We stayed at Kia homestay for 4 days and can only recommend it. Neni is a very lovely hostess, an incredibly good cook and helps you with all your questions. She even booked scooters and tickets for us and continued to help us after our stay at Kia homestay. For us, it was the best accommodation on the trip and we found it hard to say goodbye. Neni is even committed to the reforestation of the coral reefs, which you support by booking the homestay, and is such a nice and warm person. We would recommend a stay and hope to come back again!

We stayed with Neni and her family for three nights and absolutely loved it. The location is incredible, with a beautiful house reef right at the doorstep. Neni and her family were super helpful, organizing everything from scooter rentals and excursions to transfers with such care. The food was delicious every day. The rooms are simple but cozy and functional. Plus, part of the earnings goes towards restoring the house reef, which we think is wonderful. We would definitely recommend Kia’s Homestay with all our hearts.
