The Ululani

Из плюсов: очень живописная локация прямо среди гольф-полей, хорошая дорога (что для Улувату редкость), приятное соотношение цена–качество. Удобно, что в самом отеле есть хорошая прачечная, что вообще находка для района. Также есть мини-маркет на первом этаже, ресторан и выход на крышу.

Из минусов: номера довольно старые и местами обшарпанные. Но если ехать без завышенных ожиданий, то это вполне классный вариант, чтобы провести пару дней.

The bed, was giant and very comfortable

I always feel so good when staying at Ululani. What you get for the price is absolutely amazing. The rooms are sooo big, and very well equipped, the staff incredibly friendly (particularly Hendra who was so kind to me during my stay and helped me with any requests I had), Asas and Sarah were also super kind when helping me to checkout. I’ve been staying here in a couple of different occasions and everytime I felt super comfortable, safe and well looked after 🫶 Balagan Caffe is also so good, great coffee, tasty pizza and beautiful ocean views, and again incredibly friendly staff 🫶 Ah and the ocean view from the hotel’s rooftop are spectacular

Wifi in the room wasn’t working very well

This is a very large hotel, and the lobby is quite impressive when you first arrive. Every morning there are musicians playing traditional Balinese music with bamboo instruments similar to xylophones, which creates a really nice and authentic atmosphere to start the day. The room was very spacious. There were three of us, and we had more than enough space. Our child even had room to play comfortably, which made a big difference for us. The internet worked well in the room, with plenty of routers along the corridors to ensure good coverage, and the air conditioning was reliable and effective. Breakfast was included and served as a buffet. Once you figure out what you like, it’s very enjoyable. There was white and brown sandwich bread and a wide variety of pastries, which we especially appreciated after spending a month in Bali and missing these kinds of options. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with anything they could. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay in a well-run, spacious hotel. Ah! I forgot, the hotel finally finished the swimming pool, that's a good point because I saw many complaints about this, but no more, you can enjoy it now.

Although the room was cleaned every morning, the floor still felt dusty. If you walked barefoot, your feet would end up a bit dirty, especially if you stepped out onto the terrace. The surroundings are generally pleasant, but from some balconies facing the golf course you can see quite a lot of rubbish. Even if this area is not directly managed by the hotel, it would be great to see some effort to keep it cleaner from time to time. The hotel feels a bit dated. It must have been very beautiful around 15 years ago, but now it could use some extra care and maintenance to bring it back to its former charm. The beach is not within walking distance and the hotel does not offer a shuttle service, so you need to use a motorbike or taxi. Dreamland Beach is the closest one, but during the time of our visit it was far from a “dreamland”: very little sand, a lot of rubbish, and the area felt rather neglected. I assume this is very seasonal and that it’s probably quite different during the summer months, when there are fewer storms and the beach has been cleaned.
