Aicha the housekeeper was lovely. The reception areas were nice. They let us cancel with a full refund.

The location is essentially in the slums. You drive along a rocky road lined with rubbish to get to the property, which set the tone for us! The housekeeper Aicha was the only person there and only spoke French or Arabic, and it was very hard to communicate. The owners also did not speak good english. We were put in the wrong room to start - an honest mistake but we did not think that the upgraded room would be worse than this initial room. They can’t do anything about the location but if the rooms were beautifully decorated you’d make peace with the rest. Alas that was not the case with the room feeling very dated and lacking attention to detail. There was also a false nail from a previous guest left on the shelf -yuck!!! There were ants crawling all over our room and later that night we had to catch a cockroach. Whilst air conditioning in Essaouria is not normal they did not provide a fan so we sweat all night which ended up making me ill during the night. We dare not sleep with the windows open due to the cockroach incident! At one point we had a water outage, it was short but did not help me when I had soap all over my hands whilst washing them. The bed was uncomfortable too. We had booked a room with a terrace but the terrace was not private and could be accessed by anyone via the hallway. There was also no privacy from the neighbouring rooms terrace. I cannot recommend this place as it currently is but with some small investments it could be great.

Everything about Villa Nouran exceeded our expectations. The hosts Mouloud, Laetitia, Baya and Aisha gave us a very warm welcome and made sure that we were looked after while staying with them. The villa itself is a gem in a quiet village of Ghazoua with some beautiful features and a mixture of traditional and modern design. The pool was great for our 10 year old and for the adults too. Food was yummy and the shark tajine is a new favourite for one of us! Breakfasts were plenty and varied with lots of homemade breads, pancakes, and cakes, names of which I sadly don't remember! Our hosts helped us with a car rental and were generally extremely helpful.We already said we will be coming back soon! 😊

Beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious and huge and prepared with much attention. Also some very nice options on the dinner menu.

Okay so this may be the best stay we have ever had when travelling. My partner and I could not have felt more at home than when we stayed at Villa Nouran. 110% recommend to anyone wanting to explore Essaouira.

what an amazing place! hosts have arrived and spent time with us, visitors, shared life stories and experiences. beds were so comfy, peace and quiet around, breakfasts tasty, amazingly prepared by local housekeeping legend named aptly Aisha. oh yes, and the coffee was GOOD. The hosts even made miracles happen for us when we foolishly DIDN'T book transfer taxi to Marrakech a day before - they have spent time on the phone and found a solution that took us directly to next place of stay in Marakesh. Magic happens here!

weather - completely beyond hosts, i was hoping for 27-30 Centigrade, was 19-25, but still warm enough to exploit the swimming pool

EVERYTHING! The place is beautiful! Really comfortable House and great staff. The pool is nice, you can park the car inside the gates, we got quite a lot of tea, the breakfast is amazing!!! The rooms are great and really comfortable. This is a great place to relax! We even got extra towels for the pool! Thank you very much Laetitia for this beautiful stay.
