Schönhouse Villa Siargao

It felt like visiting your friend’s luxury vacation house rather than staying a commercial property for tourists. The facility is a high-quality, has a nice taste in details, and does not bother you with too many rules. No closing time for the pool so kids can enjoy till they go to bed. The dining room is shared but you can do a lot of “private” activities, such as ordering meals organized for you by chef or cooking for yourselves. It gives you the sense of privacy & at the same time it provides full-service concierge responsive all-day.

Nothing we didn’t like :) Tuktuk drivers on the way back to villa often had difficulties finding its location as the property is relatively new. Ask your driver arranged by the concierge team to give you WhatsApp number and call the same person on your way back could be an option. The property is in a walkable distance from the busy tourism road though if you use a shortcut.

The property is simply beautiful and the design of each space, the accessories, and overall vibe was very well thought out. It felt very elevated in design. The food was delicious...and they had oat milk for my latte! We were lucky enough to be staying there at the same time the owners and their families were too. This was such a treat! They really made us feel like family and made sure we got to experience what the island had to offer. The communal kitchen was my favorite room. It provided a very mature hostel experience- so grateful for the interactions that took place there!

Cleaner than usual

The only security door they have is your room door otherwise anyone can come in, although no unfortunate events but it lacks a main door or gate. The property is about a 500mts ride that was all dirt road with no lights and the biggest turn off is that they fidnt have a generator. So when the lights went off no one came to offer us a light or any comfort to know that we are safe. There were no emergency lights and the whole experience just didnt make it a good vacation for us. First the whole island is flickering bec of poor electrification of the whole island and the complete black out took the cake. Anyway i believe the place can do more in terms of compliance to what is due every customer. The place looks beautiful and the people are accommodating just that it needs to level up to standards that would make their guests feel safe.

Our stay in the Schönhouse Villa was an absolute dream. We are very grateful to Kevin and the entire staff team for their wonderful catering and helpfulness. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a large, well-equipped kitchen that was really great to cook in as well as a beautiful pool. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the chill areas were just great to spend a lazy day there. The accommodation really lacks nothing and is located a bit further away from the noise of tourism road, which was great for quiet and peaceful nights. And the two house dogs were an absolutely sweet bonus. We are already looking forward to the next time!

Place is amazing, rooms clean and nice, staff and food is brilliant.

The location is quite central, but the two roads leading to the place are awful. It’s two dirt roads, and if it has been raining, you will get covered in mud from knee down. If they fix this, the place is a gem.

This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The service they provide is also the best! From day one they have done nothing but help us, Wether that was hiring a bike ( which they arrange for us and was ready prior to us arriving at the hotel ) when we wanted to book tours they pointed us in the right direction. Before you check into the hotel, they put you in a WhatsApp group where you can ask for any assistance or things you need to the room, this was to ensure that we had full privacy and was left to our own enjoyment. In this WhatsApp group you also tell them what you would like for your breakfast the next morning, which is the best breakfast you could ask for by the way! Freshly made and you can tell so much love goes into making that breakfast to. On our last day, we was gutted that we couldn’t extend our stay there for an extra day, due to them being fully booked. The great service didn’t end there! The ladies in the hotel ( jeralyn & another lady ) helped us take our suitcases to the next hotel. Also showed us the closest laundrette to our new hotel. The owner of the hotel has also helped us organise a lift to the airport. Honestly I could recommend this hotel enough to anyone that is planning on coming to Siargao. And would most definitely be coming back. And can’t thank the hotel staff enough for the best stay.
