Hostal Carol

Very easy communication in spanish. Picked me up from the airport and dropped me off again for 10$. Did my laundry there (no dryer) safe region Overall a pleasant stay Comfy beds

Carol was lovely, she picked me up from the bus terminal (although didn't mention she would charge for it when the site says free shuttle). The room was nice, no hot water in the shower which had been typical to my trip in Honduras so I was used to this by now. She offered me breakfast which I kindly said no and dropped me to the airport. It was a quick over night stay after a long day traveling. It is more of an Airbnb with you having the room and bathroom, there is a door that closes on a hallway where the family lives. For me it was fine but it is basically a family home they call a hotel and rent a room.

I did not like that on her booking it say's doesn't accept cash, when I went to pay in the morning so had no way to process but to drive me to an ATM so I would incur more fees and have to get out money for a country I was leaving. I ended up paying in USD. She then told me there was a fee for the pick up the day earlier (it states free shuttle on the booking site). I asked to be dropped off at the airport at 7am as on the way to the accommodation she told me the airport was only a five minute drive. When it was 7am the "shuttle" was dropping her son at school and then it took about 30 mins to get to the airport with traffic, luckily I always like to get there super early or I could of missed my flight! She said it was five minutes without the traffic, which fair enough but don't tell someone only five minutes and not mention the traffic!
