I have traveled a lot all over the world the last 10 years, including four extensive road trips through Europe in the last six years. I almost always use Booking.com to make my lodging reservations, and I have written many reviews of many places. But in all my travels, I had yet to meet a property owner like Marina, of Golden House. It is the simple truth. I had asked if I might be able to check in early on my day of arrival, and Marina sent me a message the night before on WhatsApp asking if 12:30 would be OK. It was way more than OK, and Marina and her family were just finishing up the cleaning when I arrived. I immediately felt so welcomed by everyone. But not only is Marina a wonderful and accommodating host, Golden House is such a spacious and comfortable and modern place. Great air conditioning. Roller shutters on all the windows. A washing machine. A large hot tub! The fastest wifi speed I have ever used while traveling. A dedicated parking space just outside the door, a rarity in Italy. Marina checked in with me to be sure everything was OK (a very nice special touch!) and she brought me a traditional Castellammare del Golfo sweet as a special welcome gesture. I can’t recommend Golden House enough! It is easy to come and go, with the designated parking space, and Golden House is conveniently located very close to the highway, so visiting such places as Trapani and Erice and Palermo is a very simple undertaking. Do yourself a favor and stay at Golden House—you will not be sorry.

I will again be honest and say that the kitchen gadgets and utensils were on the sparse side, as I always cook my meals when I travel. But I also always bring all my kitchen gear and pots and pans with me, so that was not a problem.

This property was spacious and spotless. the facilities were perfect for our stay and the hot tub was so good to relax in after a day exploring the town and surroundings. Marina was a super host and very helpful, the traditional Sicilian treats left for us on arrival were delicious and very welcome.

I liked everything about this property but it is a little distance from the town centre so a car might be good if you do not like walking! We walked everywhere as this was not an issue for us.

Perfect place to stay with family. The apartment was very clean and modern. Good location, the host was very helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect, lovely decorated place in a small, fantastic city. Perfect hosts that helped us with anything we needed, even accompanied us to the police after someone hit our car. We can definetely recommend staying at the Golden House!

Very friendly owners, easy communication. The value for money is great! The highlight you can see on the pictures yourself!

We had very polite landlords and it was easy to arrange an appointment to get Into the house. We found everything very clean and in Addition there were fresh fruits, water, wine and typical sweets for our welcome. We got recommendations were to Go for dinner etc and there is a dedicated parking spot just for „Golden House“, which was a clear Benefit.

There was no terrace, however we knew that before. The descrption of the whirlpool was not in English.. however we still managed to operate it.
