Beautifully updated traditional style house. Everything provided that you could possibly need. It was quiet and private in a great residential location. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes and all transport options.

The traditional style beds were really too firm for what we are used to. The stairs were very steep but manageable if you are careful.

This is an old-style Japanese house. It has all the things you could possibly need, but also the downsides of these kinds of houses. Especially the stairs to the bedrooms are extremely steep and narrow. If you have any kind of mobility issues you probably won't get up there.

Very clean. Lovely interior.

Washing machine/dryer was not good. 4 hours and no dry clothes. We had to leave with wet clothes.

it was located in the back streets of Kyoto, which an adventure in itself. Great for walking around and discovering little gems about the city. it is a very traditional and minimalistic Japanese-style townhouse, which is lovely. 10 minute walk from the closest subway station. then one stop to the main Kyoto station.

The stairs are super steep and a bit dangerous. the beds are hard and the pillows too soft. More seating is also needed. Uber and taxi drivers couldn’t find the address.
