Guesthouse Comfort Place

The host was extremely friendly and would advise and help during both planning and during accidents. He also conversed reasonably well, even in English. The location of the stay was very nice, located in the middle of rural Korean farmland.

The beds were quite stiff, additionally, the lack of curtains to the outside and a emergency light near the door prevented darkness during the night. As a light sleeper this was not preferable.

한옥 구들바닥이라 겨울에도 춥지 않은 숙소에요. 여행자 드문 비수기라서 혼자 편하게 묵을 수 있었어요. 언젠가 또 부안에 온다면 안심소에서 지낼 생각입니다. 사장님께서 무척 친절하시고 이것저것 많이 알려주세요. 평소에 불면이 조금 있는데 안심소에 머무른 3박동안 아주 잘 잤답니다. 이유는 잘 모르겠지만 공간이 편안해서였던 것 같아요. 부안 여행하신다면 진짜 강력 추천. 버스로 내변산 다녀오기도 좋고요~

I liked that it was a traditional house, and the room itself was very spacious and clean. The host took care of me very well, he gave me food and fruit in the evening and we chatted comfortably in English and Korean. He was so friendly, and gave me recommendations for my hike the next day. He also drove me to the bus stop and then to the main bus station when I wanted to leave.

The location is a little out of the way, but because the host drove me it’s not too bad. When I took the bus back after hiking, I had to walk for maybe 20 minutes from the bus stop to the accommodation.

The place is likely a home away from your home. It's the only place where you would feel that you have a family even if you are traveling alone. The owner of the guest house is very accommodating and treated all of us not just as a guest but also like a part of a family. It's the most amazing stay I have ever had when I slept soundly without any noise and it was really great bonding with the housemates too. Perfect place!
