Four Seasons

Anne, the Host, is superb. She is very kind and friendly. It really felt like home.

We stayed 4 nights, loved the homely atmosphere, kindness shown from our thoughtful, friendly hosts, having a little fridge, comfortable bed, and black-out curtains, washed up dishes done for us, etc, and clean replacements provided, great tasting well water, more than ample breakfast food and fruit provided; super bathroom, nothing more needed, even a jacuzzi ! The quietness was very restful and surroundings were really beautiful! And just as our hosts had said, our large window at the back of the house faced the evening sunset, and outlook onto a green field. We'd very good summer weather and was a God-given lovely 5 day break. We have been to the general area surrounding Youghal 3 times now, and this time visited several seaside resorts on the east side of Youghal, with breath taking drives and mountain and sea views; a stunning Dromana House and garden/ woodlands south of Cappoquin by the river, and found Dungarvan great for food, ie. the Shamrock Restaurant in town, to name our highlights.

Our privacy was given us, ( thankyou!) we just weren't used to not having a net curtain on such a large window. If it was a halfway kind, wed have relaxed more for dressing purposes. The let-down blind was a help to a degree. Bringing clothes for all seasons we could've done with more draws, and as staying 4nights but we managed. The bedside cupboards gave place to put things, and the overall room was very pleasantly presented.

Customer service was top notch. A cup of tea on arrival. Room was great. Bathroom was bigger than most. Just like a farm stay.

Anna & family are delightful & very welcoming. We had everything provided and after a busy few days prior to arrival the peaceful setting gave us the much needed rest… hopefully we’ll pop over to Ireland again. Highly recommend this home from home!

The host was terrific -- very warm welcome. A generous continental breakfast and snacks were provided as well.
