Gioietta ospitalità siciliana Modica

I had a wonderful stay at Gioietta Ospitalità Siciliana. The breakfast was excellent, with a delicious variety of local options that made for a perfect start to the day. The terrace is lovely, offering a relaxing space to enjoy the views and the sunshine. The location is ideal – right in the heart of Modica, within walking distance of all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants. Elisa was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Overall, a great experience at a fair price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Modica.

Elisa is the most marvellous host. She made my stay easy and comfortable, and she speaks Italian, French, and English. Breakfasts were great and I enjoyed Elisa’s company then. The room (I had 1934) is lovely, all the more so knowing this was the host’s mother’s apartment. Comfy bed, kettle. I adored the shower - honestly, this is the first genuine non-slip floor (resin, apparently) I’ve used in all my life. It’s great having a balcony to watch the street action. Luckily, double glazing blocks the weekend noise of hoons at night. The location is the best available, I think- next to St Peter’s, opposite tourist info and the original chocolate shop which put Modica on the map.

I’d love to magic a lift, as 38 steps are difficult for (old) me. However, Elisa organised someone to carry my luggage up and down, so all was well.

Newly renovated rooms in original style. In the heart of Modica, close to restaurants and sights. Wonderful terrace with a view. Nice balcony. Great breakfast and service.
