Villa Monica

We received a warm welcome and very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Monica. The large shadowy garden with plenty of seating arrangements was like an oasis. The room was comfortable and access to a fridge and cooking facilities was a big plus, as was secure private parking. The warm hospitality of the host made us feel at home and we come to come back.

No complaints

Villa Monica is a pretty villa with spacious grounds, free bikes, a vending machine, and the large rooms have a fridge, microwave, hot drinks, and cutlery. Monica is a kind, friendly, and generous hostess who responds quickly to messages. She accommodated all my special requests, which I highly appreciated. The room airconditioning was such a relief after a day of hiking in summer. My room was cleaned and tidied up daily.

I underestimated the distance of the villa (about a kilometer from the city center) in the heat of summer. Mosquitoes in the garden discouraged me from hanging out there.

The host was really friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our needs.

Typical italian villa, quiet, with numerous sitting areas to enjoy for reading or a glass of wine/beer in generous garden . Lower level rooms preferred if you don't like stairs.

Driveway a little tricky.

Slow internet connection. We didn't have a possibility to talk by telegram.

Clean, air conditioning, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower; nicely appointed coffee, tea & biscuits; safe parking with the security gate; very quiet; very close to great coffee shops; Monica is very nice and accommodating.

The building is a little hard to find with google maps, instructions such as "turn left at the fork" or something would help. There were cooking pots in our room but no knives, forks or spoons. Our friends were in the adjacent room so they shared theirs with us. The table in our room is actually a desk so when we tried to sit around it there was no room for our legs, it was actually kind of comical and we enjoyed dinner anyway. 😀
