Arnolds Familly homestay

I spent one night in Arnolds Family homestay. The property was nice and clean and the bed very comfortable. Arnolds and his family are lovely people, book here and you won't be disappointed!

Arnold and his family are wonderful hosts. His tips were fantastic. Breakfast was also delicious. Thoroughly recommended!

Arnold is very helpful and friendly.

The room is located a long way (via and outside passage) from the bathroom which is shared with the family. No running hot water though hot water was provided when we asked for it.

Arnold was very kind and helpful, gave us great info about Flores and even got me some traditional medicine because I was sick. Room was clean and comfortable and across from a delicious soup restaurant.

The bathroom was shared and you had to walk outside through a hallway to reach, no sink or shower. Not a huge deal as it was very clean.

We booked very last minute, as we got lost while looking for the hot springs due to misleading directions from Google Maps and ended up needing a place to stay in Bajawa. Despite the short notice, Arnold welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. He lives in the house with his family and has previously worked as a tour guide, so he knows all the routes and sights in the area extremely well. Arnold gave us detailed directions to go to the hotsprings and even followed up to make sure we arrived safely. He shared many helpful tips and offered to organize spontaneous trips and guided tours. We felt very comfortable and would definitely recommend staying here.

The only downside is some traffic noise in the area, but that’s hard to avoid and likely affects all places in Bajawa.

Very nice and authentic home stay. Arnold is renting out his spare room (with its own entrance so you don’t have to go through the home of the family to get to your room). Arnold and his family were very welcoming and he helped us every time we needed help (renting a scooter, transport to labuan bajo etc.). All in all, we had a very lovely and pleasant stay!

Arnold is an excellent host who made me feel like a part of the family. During breakfast, he always taught me something new about Flores. The accommodation is very affordable and comfortable. I highly recommend it.
