Zangara Flat

Pour une famille avec un bébé l'emplacement de l'appartement n'est pas idéal. En effet, il y a eu un concert de 22h à 1h du matin. On avait l'impression que le concert était dans l'appartement. Ce qui n'est pas facile avec un bébé de 18 mois.

Het is omschreven als appartement met 1 slaapkamer, 1 woonkamer en 1 badkamer. Er is echter geen slaapkamer. De 2 2persoonsbedden staan dus allebei in de woonkamer! De foto’s en omschrijving zijn dus zeer misleidend. Als je met 4 boekt in de hoop wat privacy te hebben, ben je gezien 😟 Verder was het bloedheet in het appartement. De airco kan je ook niet opzetten als je het appartement verlaat. Als we terugkwamen van ons diner, was het er dus nog steeds 35°C en onmogelijk te slapen. Pas tegen de vroege ochtend kwam de kamer met de airco op een aanvaardbare temperatuur. Als je gesteld bent op een verduisterde kamer dan ben je aan ‘t foute adres. Enorm veel licht, zelfs ‘‘s nachts van de straatverlichting. De ligging is goed in het centrum maar er was enorm veel lawaai tot 2u30 op straat. Isolatie= 0. Op het terras is slechts 1 ligstoel voorzien voor 4 personen. Het toilet staat niet vast en beweegt mee. Het vriendinnetje van de eigenaar moest ons binnenlaten en spreekt geen Engels. Alles moest dus via de telefoon verlopen.

We had a great time at our stay here in Sicily! The apartment was located in a beautiful town, walking distance to many bars and good restaurants, close to the beach and Palermo. The apartment was beautiful and had a nice patio overlooking the town as well! The host, Rosi, was amazing too! She was very quick to respond and help in any way possible. She gave us a ride to pick up our rental car at the airport the day after we checked in and treated us to a coffee and breakfast as well. I would highly recommend her and this stay!

We had a really nice stay at Zangara flat. Host were very nice and welcoming. We recommend this place. :)

+ clean room, reasonable size + clean bathroom + close to the airport + nice person who came to show us the room, but we had to call to many times.

- Initially, the keys to the room where in a key box outside. We had to call to get the code. - But the key for the (separate) bathroom was not in there. 15 minutes to wait for the key. - The main-entrance door is very small (1.40 m high). I banged my head really badly. It realy hurt. - Apartment on the third floor, withouth lift. - Very narrow and steep stairs. I hardly could carry my luggage upstairs, three floors up. - Bathroom shared with 4 other rooms. Shower and toilet in this same bathroom for potentially 6 - 10 people… It simply does not work. Not at 100 €/night ! - And the bathroom is three floors down. - And the toilet mechanism was disassembled and laying on the floor. - The air conditioning in the room has to be turned on with a key, before being able to use the remote. First time I see this. Nobody told us. We had to call again. - TV did not work. - No water boiler in room, as advertised. Tea and coffee machines common to all rooms, 3 floors down in the staircase… - Noisy neighbours (thin ceiling) and neighbourhood (exterior bar with music) . Impossible to sleep until 01:30 am, and we had to get up early. - Parking in the street. Quiet and safe street, but not what advertised. - But the worst was the really fluctuating electrical tension in the room. We did not dare plug-in any electrical devices for fear of damages. No way to charge computers or phones... This shows that the electrical installation is simply faulty, thus dangerous ! All in all for 100 € a night, simply not acceptable. And no excuse as there were similar comments in past years and nothing corrected.
