Islanders Paradise Beach

First, I should say that this isn't for everyone. If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is not for you. However, I was looking for some simple, quiet relaxation for a couple of days. If that is what you are looking for and you don't need the amenities of a fancy resort, this is a perfect place. The room was a single hut and while not large was comfortable and literally right on the edge of the beach. I could hear the waves of the beach putting me to sleep. Room itself is simple, nothing fancy. Only one restaurant close by (Ayan's) but the food is so amazing, it is worth repeat visits. Try the banana pancake with chocolate for breakfast. It's to die for. The property itself is beautiful. I did a photoshoot on the property with a local model and it was amazing. No three-pronged sockets in the room, but they will provide an adaptor on request. Again, this isn't for everyone, but for what I was looking for on this visit, it was perfect. Very pleased.

Hot water was a problem. Other than that, I loved the simplicity of the place.

The view is just incredible! Little hut right at the beach, super calm, perfect for couples. The host was very nice and organized a scooter for us, he also lent us an adapter for the plugs. Would recommend!

No free water dispenser, had to buy water.

Pretty setting, right on the beach. Had a fridge in the room.

- Our first room had a huge amount of ants so we had to change rooms. - Air conditioning wasn't very powerful. - Rooms were basic and not particularly clean; Some furniture and bedding could do with an upgrade. - Really poor WiFi. - Smell of seaweed. - I wouldn't recommend going here if you don't plan on renting a motorbike, because it's quite far from shops/restaurants/attractions.

Lovey remote location right along a marine sanctuary. You had to walk/swim a bit off the beach past the buoys where the boats were parked, but then there was a pretty nice snorkeling site all along the waterfront! Beach was picturesque and quiet, and looked just like the pictures advertised. The nearest town (Larena) was a ways away (10 min scooter ride), which was perfect for getting food/restaurants, supplies/groceries, gas, and ferry. The room and bathroom was nice and clean, though be sure to keep food in the fridge because the ants are marching around everywhere, especially in the bathroom via the holes in the walls (this was not a problem for me). If you keep food items put away, the ants don’t bother you at all. The windows had nice closable slats and were covered wby a screen to keep mosquitoes and bugs out. There were curtains also. Bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and kept to the main building (at the bottom of the stairs) Aircon worked well!

It was confusing to find the office upon arrival because I wasn’t sure if it was in the main house at the top of the stairs near the parking area (it isn’t), or if I had to walk down the stairs to find checkin/checkout (it IS down there). Water was a bit expensive.

- lovely location (although not easy to find in the night) with amazing sunsets - quiet in the night - affordable price

- staff was not welcoming or communicative - water did not flow 70% of the time; bucket to use - cleanliness in bathroom could be improved; the bathroom renovated - bed could be replaced (sounds at every move - I thought it will break every time I sat down)

Great staff friendly and welcoming. Amazing location right on the beach. Small but comfortable room, everything worked including air conditioning and fridge. Good selection of food available and reasonably priced

Resort is in the north of the island 30 minutes drive from Siquihor port which may not suit everybody. Fine for us though. Did an island tour for a day, be careful as our driver tried to limit the stops and made excuses for not visiting places we wanted to see
