AUThe space and finishings in each of the rooms is sensational, it is so much more than accommodation. The location just inside the old city main gate is convenient to visit all the attractions in the very interesting location. Access through a quiet inner court makes a nice break from the tourist hectic town centre just outside the apartment. However …
This apartment deserves a 10 but we simply couldn’t give it that because it failed in one of the fundamental requirements of travellers’ needs - providing the traveller with the opportunity to have a good nights sleep. Three of the four nights we stayed (Wed - Fri) we could not sleep until after 1:30am due to the loud live music that came from the night club that operated directly adjacent the apartment’s bedroom. The noise kicked off around 10pm and built to about 1:30 - 2:00 am. The music must be great because the audience cheered, clapped and sang along boisterously as the night went on. Unfortunately, despite the ,double glazed windows the noise was very loud. As travellers we are up early exploring, hiking and enjoying the local culture and restaurants but we do need to recharge our batteries with a good night sleep. It you love to party all night and sleep all day this place would be great for you. If you are going to stay here when the night club operates bring industrial strength ear plugs.
