Quiet part of San Ramon away from the tourists, a good little escape. Rented a bike through the hostel, there was a bar and comedor on site

The toilet and shower was separated by just a curtain and the floor was basically earth so your feet felt dirty. The reservation said it included breakfast but they said we had to pay it apart

Family run, cheap accommodation with all the basics.

Most comfortable bed in Nicaragua - maybe even the most comfortable after 1.5+ years of travel. Room is nice and clean. Bar drinks are reasonably priced. Staff is great. Interesting and worthwhile to stay on this part of the island away from the tourist hordes and get a feel of what the island used to be like before mass tourism. Close to waterfall hike so you can start early and beat the heat.

Room description a little exaggerated (not 50sq meters, not private kitchen - but you can use the main one to make coffee etc), there's no need, it's still pretty nice. Private parking yes, but only for motorbikes. (Staff helped me unload unsecured items). Music was playing in bar until late (that can be a pro if you like to party).

The owner is a very sweet lady. Her fish on the bbq is heavenly.

The room should have a proper fan and a mirror.
