Peaceful Country Retreat

Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms, and incredibly comfortable beds. The soft, high-quality linen and towels were such a treat, and check-in was super easy. We absolutely loved our stay!

We could hear brief loud transportation noises at times (trucks, motorbikes, and trains), though this was likely more noticeable because the area is otherwise very quiet.

Great setting. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. We would like to return if other factors permit.

The effort that has been put into the accommodation! The beautiful bedding, the fire place and ample wood, the garden, the paddocks, the fruit trees. The open spaces, nature and that we could bring our dog! We felt like we had everything for a mom and daughter trip away!

Lovely place for a get-away with friends or family. Beds super comfy, kitchen with all the mod cons and equipment and a toasty fire and heat pump to keep you warm in winter. Shop .in Shannon close by. 😀

Great location, easy drive to Palmerston North Airport. Lovingly decorated and comfortable house with everything we needed.

Nothing - property is an older style farm house but it still exceeded expectations.

Mice ,but owner had taken steps to deal with this and asking advice from pest control, although we had 2 mice in the house that we saw frequently each evening and droppings on furniture and pillows on returning to the property after being out. Bath a bit grubby, but shower ok.
