"Superb"

The location was excellent, and very comfortable. We only stayed 2 nights, it might have been a little cramped for us for more than that but for 2 couples it would be perfect. (we were 1 couple plus 2 adult children)

It was a little alarming to be told not to go left towards Ballard Market after 6 pm but we did not feel anxious about our safety at all.

Nice and cosy appartment with very comfy beds, wifi, little kitchenette, smart-tv with netflix (which we didn’t use: loads of stuff to do in the city!), aircon and a nice little bathroom. 2 steps away from the Ballarò area (streetfood/daily freshmarket) and 2 minutes strawl to Via Maqueda (food, drinks, shops). Donna Isabella is very helpfull with any question you might have.

"Disappointing"

Location would have been fine since it's in the historic part of Palermo, except this block is horrible, dirty, crumbling buildings next door, and felt unsafe. Host even advised not to go down that way. One day I walked out and witnessed some tourists being beaten and robbed right around the corner from the apartment. Inside the building there are many stairs to climb to the 4th floor. The host helped me with my luggage though. Otherwise I could not have made it. Building. needs maintenance with many broken tiles on the stairs. Inside the bathroom shower is missing tiles, instead there is a piece of wood covering missing tiles. When taking a shower the water doesn't drain well and comes onto the floor of the bathroom, making it dangerous and slippery. The toilet seat was broken, and I was notified about it on the day of my arrival. There is no connection for Netflix. Not even one English channel because there is no cable. I did not enjoy my stay.

The apartment is spacious and clean, decorated very stylishly and tastefully (beautiful old ceiling). Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchenette. Located on the border of two different districts of Palermo, in an excellent location, close to the most interesting attractions of the city. The owner is very nice and helpful.
