Casa Lorette

We drove from Monterrey and stayed for only one night. I wish we would have stayed longer. It was a very comfortable hut. The waterfalls in tge property are beautiful and the Minas Waterfall is only a short drive away.

Un endroit fantastique!! Là cabane est confortable et bien décorée, on dort très bien à l’intérieur. Le lieux est magique et très bien entretenue 🤩 il y a la rivière devant la porte de la chambre, avec une magnifique cascade seulement pour les personnes de l’hébergement, le matin on prend un délicieux petit déjeuner juste devant cette superbe cascade !! Il est bien située, la grandes cascades Mina Viejas est à 15min. J’ai l’habitude de voyager et la Vérité c’est le meilleur endroit où j’ai dormis !! Les propriétaires sont des personnes aimable et très accueillant, nous avons séjourné avec ma copine et ma belle mère et on veut déjà y retourner 😍

Everything was perfect: lovely staff, beautiful surroundings/nature, fantastic location (good base to explore the waterfalls in El Naranjo), and extremely comfy beds. To sleep to the sounds of nature (river, insects, birds) is fantastic. The restaurant is open to the public on weekends but it still feels very exclusive and private. I love the eco concept including the compo-toilet, and the construction of the cabin is beautiful. It was also fantastic to learn about Ali's (the owners) family history and he even showed us around.

It's maybe a bit on the expensive side but worth every penny!!

I loved how beautiful, relaxing and inspiring this place is. You can truly feel nature at its best.

My family and I felt very welcomed. There was very easy access to the main attractions with a short commute to the waterfalls and nearby towns.

This is a magical place. Having private access to such a beautiful waterfall and river is amazing. The cabins are thoughtfully designed, I loved the screen front over looking the river. Ali and the rest of the team are very friendly and welcoming. The food is good. We were planning to visit other waterfalls, but we decided to just spend two days on the property because it was so beautiful and relaxing.

One thing to note, the restaurant is only open of the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). If you visit on other days, you will have to drive to the closest town, El Naranjo, which is about 20 minutes away and doesn’t have many restaurant options. Also, the property is an eco lodge in a remote area, so there are some limitations on modern amenities, the WiFi was spotty in the room (but strong in common areas) and the cabin has a dry/composting toilet. None of these things were issues for us but they are good to be aware of.
