Seaview Setters Penthouse Marsaskala

Everything, beautiful location and accommodation. Exceptionally clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

This apartment, situated on the 4th floor of a residential building locate in a side street just 2 min walk from the very pretty harbour at Marsaskala with it's plethora of mini-markets, restaurants and bars was the perfect place to base ourselves for our stay. There are several bus stops and a bus station within 5 min walk which provide easy and cheap access to the south of the island and also Valletta bus station (7 day go anywhere bus pass is 25 Euro pp or individual journeys on any given route were a flat rate of 2 Euro pp with tickets valid for 2hrs so could be used on a hop on hop off basis if required). The owners, Edmond and his wife went out of their way to make us welcome and for a small fee picked us up from the airport with our luggage and then took us back again at the end of our stay. They helpfully recommended a couple of the nearby eateries as being rather special, and when we tried them they were! The apartment itself was large, spotlessly clean and well appointed with a great selection of crockery, utensils and cutlery. A big and very comfy double bed and a large en suite shower room and WC completed the facilities. Outside there were 2 very large terraces enjoying a superb view of the harbour. One was fitted out with a table, chairs and a comfy sofa, perfect for "Al Fresco breakfasts" and pre dinner drinks whilst the other had two full length sun loungers great for sunbathing. The property is reached via a lift which was good for us but there are also stairs for those wanting a bit more exercise!

Like the rest of Malta car parking in Marsaskarla is not easy - not the fault of the owners, just narrow Maltese roads and limited public parking spaces in the town. Apart from that everything else was excellent

Penthouse apartment had fantastic views. Owners went out of they way to explain everything and even picked up from the supermarket. Would recommend apartments.

Apartment could have a clothes rack for drying. As we were there for a week.

What a wonderful place !!! Not only the appartement but also the peaceful village Marsaskala. Everything was on walking distance..bars restaurants..supermarket..and the lovely Saint Thomas bay. We really enjoyed the beautiful and clean apartment with 2 very nice terraces. It was really a pleasure to get to know Edmond and Elizabeth. They were extremely kind and helpful ! Everything was perfect..we will surely come back !

Collecting the property keys was simple, because super host Edmond collected us at the airport (despite our late arrival). Truly above-and-beyond service!! We really liked everything about this penthouse, The location was excellent, and the appointments in the penthouse were exactly as promised. BOTH balconies were outstanding, with views of the harbor and comfy outdoor furniture. A lovely visit, and a perfect service experience! Do not hesitate to book this property -- you will NOT be disappointed!!

Two super, super minor things ... the footboard on the bed was rather too close to the wardrobe and some shelving adjacent to the pedestal sink in the bathroom to hold toiletries would have been helpful. But, really, everything about this place is WONDERFUL.

The location of the apartment is superb in terms of the stunning views from all rooms and two spacious balconies. The apartment is close to the local mini supermarkets, bistros and is in a prime location for accessing all amenities in the local area. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responded quickly to any requests. We felt really well looked after. The bus stops are within easy walking distance for trips to Valetta and other tourist destinations. The light filled apartment met all of our needs and we will certainly be booking again. A hidden gem !

Everything was great with the accommodation Edmond is so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The host was fantastic, he went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. He gave us a run down of all the facilties in the apartment. He showed us where the locals eat and met us down there and shouted us a beer. Great choice of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Beautiful views from our balcony over the harbour. Lovely walk along the board walk.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Seaview Setters. The apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean with fantastic views over the harbour from the amazing terrace. Little, thoughtful touch of providing beach towels for swimming, alongside the regular bath towels, was really appreciated for travellers like us who travel very light with hand luggage only. Communication with Edmond was easy and we appreciated being able to get into the apartment when we arrived early - thank you! Highly recommended!
