I rarely write reviews unless I’m genuinely pleased with a place, so sharing this feedback reflects just how unhappy we were. Minimal Storage and Cluttered Space: Upon arrival, we were met with very limited storage space. As we were staying for a month, we had a fair amount of clothing and belongings with us, but the few available drawers were already filled with personal items that appeared to belong to the owner. This left us with minimal room to unpack. Frustrating Facial Recognition Access: The facial recognition system was a constant issue. We had to have our faces re-added every 4-5 days, which became frustrating very quickly. Often, we couldn’t access the building through the parking basement, forcing us to walk up to the reception desk to reset our access. It wasn’t just us; other guests seemed to face the same issue. Broken Promises on Weekly Cleaning: ‘Propr’ promised weekly cleaning in the booking process and lease agreement, but this never happened. When we inquired, we were told we’d have to pay an additional R900 for cleaning. Even after highlighting this clause in our lease, we received a dismissive response about their cleaning team being overbooked. Despite repeated requests, we went without any cleaning for two weeks and had to manage without fresh towels or toilet paper. Unhelpful Service for Pool Amenities: Despite there being a pool on the property, no pool towels were provided. When we asked for two towels, we were simply advised to purchase them from a nearby store. Given the high cost of the studio, this lack of basic service felt unacceptable. Parking Troubles: We had been promised a parking bay but had to wait 17 days and endure multiple back-and-forths before receiving it. In the meantime, we had to pay R400 per night for basement parking or R200 per night to park at a nearby shopping centre. Midway through our stay, we decided to book a separate hotel for two nights just to escape the noise, lack of space, and general discomfort.
