Ostrov Beach

Ostrov Beach is a beautiful little boutique hotel with a very nice staff! We felt very welcomed and they really tried to make us feel as much as home as possible, even making small adaptions to our breakfast. The little beach that is managed by the hotel is really cute with hammocks, lounge chairs and a beautiful reef

The boat-transfer to Ukulhas which was organised by Ostrov was really rough due to bad weather - no fault of Ostrov, but just a tip for future visitors: maybe skip your breakfast before boarding the boat ;)

Staff was exceptionally kind! All of them, super kind, friendly, helpful, without being pushy. Just nice smiles. Very much appreciated. Food was great (we were half-board), juices were great, location was the best (30sec walk from the most beautiful bikini beach of the highland, with regular sea turtles). We could arrange excursions to manta rays, nurse sharks, coral gardens, octopus and fish fishing... Room was really clean, nice, AC, fan, everything one would need. The most difficult part was to leave such paradise! I will miss Ostrov beach! Highly recommended!

On a positive note, the beach section was very nice and the staff helped us organise the transfer, which we appreciated.

AVOID this hotel if you don't want headache during your holiday. They had known for six months that we would be coming. Upon arrival, the staff first told us that they “kindly” put our rooms next to each other as a courtesy. Only later we realised that the rooms were actually placed in an old adjacent building. When I went to ask why — and that we in fact want the rooms we had originally booked — we learned that the rooms and the entire wing we were supposed to stay in were under renovation. The whole hotel smelled of mold and paint, and the corridors were dusty like a construction site. They simply did not have the rooms ready that we had paid for. The staff then tried to fix the situation in a hurry, but please see the attached photos: beds stained and dirty, mattresses stacked in the middle of several rooms. It was a disaster. Later we spoke with several people on the island and multiple of them confirmed that this hotel often overbooks and then places guests in an old building which is not even listed in the offer, because it is in such a poor condition that nobody would book it voluntarily.

Большая общая территория. 5. Доброжелательный и клиентоориентированный персонал.

The best place to stay I believe in Ukulhas. Everything was perfect, starting from the room decoration, the room with the balcony view was cozy with lots of natural sunlight, the staff was exceptional going out of the way for providing service, the continental breakfast and pancakes were very good, Raazen makes the perfect ice coffee (a must try). Fareed went out of his way to serve us with a smile. Everyone was very good. Recommend to stay in room 109.
