Samoan Highland Hideaway

Our family were so blessed to spend 4 restful and relaxing days at this beautiful and very private sanctuary which is truly a Samoan Hideaway. Tim & Maria and their beautiful daughter Vaelei, were the most beautiful hosts who warmly greeted us and left us some yummy tropical goodies on arrival - we loved the Esi, avoka and niu from their stunning gardens. We were so grateful for the delicious Koko alaisa they brought up for us the next morning after we arrived. The house was huge, very clean and well equipped with all necessities for our stay with family. Awesome wifi with a Starlink connection and and amazing views of the gardens and plantations from the huge balcony which is a centrepiece to this beautiful property. This is a haven for birds with so many surrounding the property and around the garden. A real nature's paradise. Our kids had the chance to chill out and relax in any number of spots around the huge top floor of the home. We didn't need to even go downstairs as the top story had everything we needed during our stay. Some of the bonuses for us were the numerous bathrooms, washing machine, hot water in bathrooms and kitchen and filtered water station. With the house being solar powered we didn't need to worry about blackouts. We were well looked after by lovely Tim and Maria. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and generosity. It was away from town and so quiet. Loved all the nature.

Location/Facilities/Garden setting: Perfect for our family and for our elderly father. It was our home away from home.

Wonderful hosts! Generous, lovely people Tim & Maria are. They are so very helpful, kind & available. Extremely flexible with check in/out timing as long as not booked. My flight came in so very early & it was not a problem, they did not charge a fee for early check in. Everything is well kept & appointed. The kitchen is well supplied. Safely fenced, I stayed in the fale which is beautiful & interesting. The gardens are so stunningly beautiful & lush. Full of flowers & bird song. Tim also will give tours you can book, I hear is wonderful. They look amazing.

No wifi, there is weak cell service. No air conditioner of course as it’s a fale, windows have screens though & strong breeze! It’s hot though & Insects as to be expected (it’s Samoa)

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of our family holiday in Samoa. Maria and Tim welcomed us to the property and showed us where everything was we needed for our stay. It is a really well equipped kitchen. Our children loved staying in the fale style home with the bedroom in the upper part of the building. The lush and well kept garden is beautiful and bird watching in the morning while having a coffee on the deck is bliss. In terms of bringing provisions, we recommend stopping at Farmer Joes which is about a 10 minute max drive from the property. Once you are there, you won't want to leave.

The WI-FI is not great but then I liked that as this was for a switch off family stay. There was also no TV but that made for fun in terms of discussing the rest of the family holiday and looking at the travel information provided by the hosts and working out the next day's itinerary.
