Beautiful location and rooms, great hosts who were ready to help and provide amazing recommendations for day trips and food!

Wonderful old house, well restored with an amazing woodland garden that we were invited to wander in. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and the spread of food for breakfast was amazing. There was also a good range of hot drinks and some very nice local biscuits available for guests in the evening. We appreciated the provision of dressing gowns as the shower room, though for our use only, was on the floor below. Private car parking is available immediately outside the house, the latter well-located for walking down into the town centre for an evening meal. We enjoyed visiting a local Pizzeria, booked for us by our hosts. We found it an excellent location for an overnight stay on our journey south to Tuscany.

Our room was rather idiosyncratically furnished, for looks rather than comfort, including a piano and old sewing machine table, whereas we would have preferred comfortable chairs and a suitcase stand.

Amazing! Our boat was late to Genova and our original host cancelled for us because they don’t too late check-ins. At first it seemed disaster, but then we booked Villa Ghiron because they had late check-in and parking on site for free and only about 1h away from Genoa port. Best night ever! Everything was just perfect! Owner who welcomed us is amazing, and bed is one of the best ones in my life. Breakfast was so luxurious. We felt really welcomed there. I usually don’t like when bathroom is not connected with bedroom, but put private external bathroom was so good so it was ok. Definitely going back there!

Very kind people in a marvellous master house. Room vas exceptional, with jacuzzi and a very good bed. The house is wonderful (ancestral staircase, private church, beautiful terrace,…)

The interior doors, that are not at the quality level all the rest is, they seem too thin…

Lovely villa, beautifully restored, relaxing garden, nice room. Although we had some negative issues, the hostess was very welcoming and helpful. The negative comments are meant to be constructive and helpful for the owners, and we would come again, as it is well worth staying there, if in the area.

NO road number, NO SIGN for Villa Ghiron, so it took us a while to make sure we were at the right place. Owners need to address this for future guests. So you know, EXTERNAL bathroom is on another floor, 2 flights of stairs down from the room. This was a surprise, as it's not adequately explained on the property description, and we had assumed it would be adjacent to us on the same floor. Very inconvenient, as we are in our 70's, and although reasonably fit, not good for visits through the night. BREAKFAST - an Italian breakfast, beautifully done, but only sweet choices of bread, cakes, cereals and fruit. Nothing savoury, so no option for diabetics (my husband). Also, there needs to be a mirror and toiletries/dressing table provided in the room, seeing the bathroom is so far away.
