Kandy Backpackers Hostel

It was good value for money.

The place is a little difficult to find. There are no sign boards on the road guiding to where the hostel is. The person at the reception will hesitate before even helping you with the luggage. The room was okay ish but needs to be maintained better

I can't imagine finding another hostel anywhere in the world at this price that includes so much. Breakfast was great, and the vegetarian dinner was absolutely delicious with authentic local flavors. Guests can also join a free cooking experience, and the staff are incredibly kind, explaining everything with care and enthusiasm. The hostel even has a swimming pool, and the rooms come with AC. Can you imagine that at this price? The location is also wonderful, with about a 45-minute scenic walk along the lakeside to the Tooth Relic Temple. A fantastic place to stay in Kandy, and I would definitely recommend it.

Loved the cooking class. Host got up extra early to make our breakfast which was very appreciated. Nice to jump in the pool to cool off.

Bathrooms need a good clean. Our room smelt musty, I think the aircon filter needs cleaning.

J’y ai pris une chambre privée donc je ne sais pas pour les chambres partagées mais l’hôtel est propre et confortable, pas très loin du centre ville 20 minutes à pied seulement, le gérant et le personnel sont très agréables, l’endroit est assez calme avec vue sur la piscine et la nature c’est reposant. Le petit déjeuner est un peu léger mais le dîner malgré qu’il soit végétarien cale et la nourriture est très bonne. Pour le prix l’hostel est impeccable, rapport qualité prix imbattable
